TAJ'S WORLD ARCHIVE
The Interview

You spend loads of time together - do you get on each other's nerves?
Taj: "We've been together our whole lives. Other bands are put together and they're not used to living with each other. We've been seeing each other's faces every day for the last 20 years, so we know each other inside out. I know when to say things and when it won't be productive to say something. Taryll will say it no matter what - and it may seem more harsh than it was meant to. We've had arguments but we've never had fist fights. I think it's good to have disagreements sometimes."

Do you ever wish you weren't Jacksons?
Taj: "I feel if my name wasn't Jackson people would take a different approach to us. No-one ever listens to our music, they just check out the name. We work as hard as any other group."

What will you do when 3T ends?
Taj: "I want to be a director. I'm really into science fiction and I like children's stuff too. Maybe I could do a kids' sci-fi movie."

Do you ever wish you could forget this pop lark and have some time off?
Taj: "I went to college but I didn't like it at all. It was really hard because we were in the middle of our album and ever night I had to drive home. I didn't tell anyone I was a Jackson. That way I could see who liked me for me rather than because of my family. Then when the album actually came out, they couldn't believe who I was. They were kind of shocked."

Being so famous must mean you get loads of girls...
Taj: "That's difficult because we're never around anywhere long enough to be with someone properly."

Where would you take a girl on your dream date?
Taj: "I'd like to take a girl out in my car, it's the most expensive thing I've ever bought."

Did you go with a girl?
Taj: "We don't really date because we're always working."
