Talkin' 3T
superstars: How did you three decide to start a singing group?
Taj: We'd practice a lot - we'd imitate the Jacksons after their concerts. We started learning how to play instruments, and started doing harmonies together. I guess it just sort of happened.
superstars: What instruments do you play?
Taj: TJ plays the drums, Taryll plays guitar and I play bass. And we all play piano as well.
superstars: Did you feel any extra pressure going into the family business?
Taj: Just nervous, because there are a lot of expectations and we're aware of that. That's why it took us a long time to do this album, because we wanted to make it as good as we could make it.
superstars: Did you get any advice from your father, Tito?
Taj: Also that as a musician you have a responsibility to the public - they look at you in a certain way and you have to live up to that. We've been brought up well, so we can handle that.
superstars: Did you see the Jacksons perform a lot when you were growing up?
Taj: But recently we got to travel with (uncle) Michael (Jackson) and (aunt) Janet (Jackson) overseas and we got to see behind the scenes.
superstars: What was that like?
Taj: You can see all the hard work involved, but then you get to see the output afterwards too.
superstars: Does 3T's live show involve lots of dancing as well?
Taj: Yes, - but don't expect three Michaels!
superstars: Are you concerned about becoming as famous as the rest of your family?
Taj: That's what we're shooting for!
